THE PROJECT
Our design for this luxurious countryside retreat seeks a harmonious blend of modern sophistication and rustic charm. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows were designed to maximize natural light and offer uninterrupted views of the picturesque countryside.
The open plan living spaces, are organised around a private central courtyard. Outside, the heated infinity pool and spacious terrace provide a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living, making this home an idyllic sanctuary for relaxation and entertainment.
THE DESIGN
The design consists of a series of small, interconnected volumes, each featuring a distinct material that enhances its character. This approach reflects the forms of classic English farmhouses while incorporating modern elements. Careful planning ensures that natural light fills the shared living spaces while bedrooms remain more private.
The layout of The Lake House encourages a strong connection between indoor and outdoor living. Open courtyards and terraces create inviting external spaces, allowing residents to enjoy the natural setting. Each communal space is paired with an outdoor area, fostering an environment where nature becomes an integral part of daily life.
